Shipping

Shipping, packaging & returns

We ship from Guangzhou to dealers, body shops and distributors worldwide. Rather than publishing one rate, we quote shipping per order: body panels are large and light, so the cost follows packed volume rather than weight, and it changes again if a full kit has to travel crated. Below is how each method works and what it means at your end; expected transit for your shipment comes with the quote.

Shipping methods compared

MethodBest forTransitNotes
Sea freight (LCL / FCL)Full kits, widebody conversions, regular dealer restocks - anything bulky where transit time is not critical.Quoted per order; depends on routing and sailing schedule to your portCheapest per cubic metre by a wide margin. Parts are crated for container handling. You clear customs and collect at your port, or your forwarder does; we handle the export side and supply the documents needed for import.
Air freightMedium-sized consignments and single complete kits when the customer is waiting.Quoted per order; depends on routing and flight schedule to your airportFaster than sea and considerably cheaper per kilo than express courier once the shipment gets large. Charged on chargeable weight, so crating adds cost.
Express courier (DHL / FedEx / UPS)Small individual parts - lips, spoilers, mirror covers, diffusers - and urgent replacements.Quoted per order; door to door and counted in days rather than weeksDoor-to-door tracking and the simplest customs handling. For large moulded panels the volumetric cost usually exceeds the value of going by freight, so we recommend it for small items only.

Shipping is quoted per order: volumetric weight, destination, chosen method and whether crating is required all move the number. Ask for a quote before paying and we will send it with the proforma invoice.

Packaging

Panels break at the edges, not in the middle of the face, so protection is concentrated where it matters.

  • Each part is wrapped individually, with dedicated protection on edges, flanges and corners
  • Cartons are sized to the part rather than filled out with loose packing, and the carton specification for your order is confirmed before dispatch
  • Bulky shipments are palletised or crated, and any timber treatment the destination country requires is agreed before booking

Customs and paperwork

Import duty and taxes are set by your country, not by us, and they are payable by the importer. What we control is the paperwork that gets you through clearance:

  • Commercial invoice and packing list issued with every shipment
  • Export declaration handled on our side; tell us which certificates of origin your market requires and we will confirm what we issue before invoicing
  • The commodity classification we file for composite body parts is stated on the invoice, so your broker can pre-clear the shipment
  • Which Incoterm we are quoting, and who acts as importer of record under it, is set out on every proforma invoice

If something arrives damaged

Carrier damage is uncommon but it happens, and it is always easier to resolve if it is documented on the day of arrival.

  1. Inspect the crate and every carton before signing for the delivery; any visible damage should be noted on the delivery receipt itself
  2. Photograph the packaging before opening it, then photograph the part in the packaging it arrived in
  3. Send us the photos, your order reference and the carrier receipt inside the claim window, which we will confirm for your lane
  4. We then pursue the carrier claim and arrange a replacement part; any cost you might be asked to carry is agreed with you before it ships

Returns and exchanges

These parts are made to order for specific chassis codes rather than pulled off a shelf, which limits returns to genuine faults. This is how we handle them:

  • Fitment or manufacturing defects reported before paint or modification: replacement part supplied. Photograph the problem and contact us as soon as you find it
  • Change of mind, or a part ordered by mistake: contact us before sending anything back, because made-to-order parts are reviewed case by case
  • Return shipping is paid by whoever is responsible for the problem; where the fault is ours, we cover it
  • Parts that have been painted, cut, drilled or otherwise modified can no longer be returned - check fitment before any work starts

Before you fit anything: dry-fit every panel on the car, check panel gaps and mountings, and only then send parts to paint. Once a part is painted it is yours, so fitment issues are best found in primer rather than in final colour.

What we confirm for each order

Transit times, terms of sale, lead times and return conditions vary by order. These are the things we confirm for you before you pay:

  • Expected transit to your port or airport for the method you choose
  • The Incoterm quoted for your order and who acts as importer of record
  • The carrier's claim window on your lane and how replacement shipping is handled
  • Build lead time and the return terms that apply to the parts you are ordering

Frequently asked questions

How much does shipping cost?

It is quoted per order, because body panels are priced on packed volume rather than weight alone. Send your destination and the products you want and we will quote the options.

How long does delivery take?

Parts are made to order, so count production plus transit plus clearance. We quote expected transit for your shipment together with the freight options, because it depends on the method and the destination.

Who pays import duty and taxes?

The importer does. Duty and tax rates are set by the destination country and depend on how the goods are classified, so ask a broker before the shipment lands.

What should I do if something arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging before opening it, then photograph the part inside its packaging and send everything to us inside the carrier's claim window - we will confirm that window for your lane when you order.

Can I return a part if it does not fit?

Fitment and manufacturing defects reported before paint or modification are handled with a replacement part. Because every part is made to order for a chassis code, anything else is reviewed case by case, so contact us before sending anything back.

Can I collect my order in Guangzhou?

If you already have a forwarder or a consolidation warehouse in Guangzhou we can usually hand the goods over locally. Tell us when you order and we will confirm what is possible.
