Dealers and tuning shops keep asking for the same thing on the Mustang platform: a GTD-style widebody that covers both the S550 (2015-2023) and the S650 (2024+), with clear USD kit pricing, honest material options, and bundle rules that do not blow up a customer quote halfway through the job.
This guide is written for that buyer — not a driveway DIY walkthrough. It walks through fitment traps, FRP versus carbon, when to sell the full kit versus individual parts, what install and paint budgets usually look like, and how to open a wholesale trial order in USD. Full part table and current prices live on the Ford Mustang S550 & S650 GTD-Style Widebody Kit product page.
Why shops ask for this kit
Most Mustang widebody enquiries fail for predictable reasons: the wrong generation is quoted, a single panel is ordered without the panels it must ship with, FRP is sold as if it were ready to hang without paint, or optional exhaust and wing hardware get rolled into a “kit” price that never included them.
- One listing, two platforms. S550 and S650 share this GTD-style conversion, but bumper and lamp details still need a VIN or photo check.
- Complete visual change. The full kit covers vented hood, front bumper, front fenders and rear arches, rear bumper with diffuser, trunk lid and GT wing — enough to quote a coherent package instead of a random lip and flare set.
- Material choice is explicit. FRP at $6,343 or carbon at $9,057 for the full kit (USD only), with per-part rows if the shop is staging a build.
- Factory-direct export. Made to order in Guangzhou for overseas dealers; shipping is quoted per order (sea for full kits, air or courier for smaller sets).

S550 vs S650 fitment
The product page states fitment for Ford Mustang S550 (2015-2023) & S650 (2024+). That is the right starting point, not the finish line.
- Confirm generation first. S550 covers the 2015-2023 Mustang; S650 is 2024-onward. Do not mix quotes with older S197 parts.
- Pre-facelift vs post-facelift bumpers differ. Within S550 especially, front and rear lamp and bumper shapes can change across years. Send VIN or clear front/rear photos before production.
- Track width changes. Widebody arches replace or extend factory openings. Plan alignment after the install, and make sure the wheel and tyre package the customer wants will clear the new arches.
- Sensors and parking hardware. If the car has front radar, cameras or parking sensors in the bumper area, tell us before ordering so mounting and cutouts can be confirmed.
If anything is unclear, WhatsApp photos plus the build year — we confirm fitment before anything is laid up.

FRP vs carbon
Both constructions are available on this listing. The short version for shop quoting:
| FRP full kit | Carbon full kit | |
|---|---|---|
| Kit price (USD) | $6,343 | $9,057 |
| As supplied | Primed — needs paint | Clear-coated weave (or paint if requested) |
| Best for | Body-colour street builds, budget-led dealer stock | Visible weave, show builds, customers chasing weight |
| Repair story | Any competent body shop | Needs composite experience; weave match is rarely invisible |
- FRP is the default when the car will be painted to match. Primer is not a finished colour — budget paint into every customer quote.
- Carbon on this kit is the wet/full carbon path shown on the product table (not a separate dry-carbon column for every panel). Gloss, matte and forged finishes are confirmed per part at order time.
- You can mix constructions across parts where the table allows it — read each row rather than assuming one material for the whole car.
For the deeper material comparison, use Dry Carbon vs Wet Carbon vs FRP, then lock the choice against the GTD product table before you send a deposit invoice.
Full kit vs individual parts
Selling the full kit is usually cleaner for the shop and the customer: one USD number, a complete silhouette, fewer “why doesn’t my bumper match the fenders” callbacks. The full kit includes:
- Vented hood
- Front bumper
- Front fenders & rear arches (widebody set)
- Rear bumper with diffuser
- Trunk lid
- GT wing
When a customer insists on staging the build, use the individual table — but respect the bundle rules printed on the product page:
- Hood, front bumper and front widebody fenders must be ordered together.
- Widebody set (front fenders & rear arches) must be ordered with the hood, front bumper and rear bumper.
- Rear bumper with diffuser must be ordered with the rear widebody arches and the trunk lid; matching exhaust tips (+$114 net) are required with that bumper.
- Trunk lid must be ordered with the rear bumper and rear arches.
- GT wing can be ordered alone; once the wing and stand are fitted, the trunk can no longer be opened. Aluminium wing stand is +$500 net.
- Exhaust rear sections (non-valved $857 / valved $1,000, iron-chromium alloy) and the trunk lid badge ($71) are not in the full kit price.

Install and paint budget
This is a substantial conversion, not an add-on lip weekend. Professional fitting is recommended. Panels replace or extend factory arches, so expect dry fitting, bonding or bolting, body work, paint (for FRP, and for carbon if body-coloured) and a final alignment.
- Dry fit every panel before paint or bonding. A dry-fit day is cheaper than a repaint.
- No drilling on add-on mounting points where the design uses factory points — still verify each car.
- Re-check fasteners after the first road test; book an alignment once track width has changed.
- Paint labour is the swing factor on FRP. Quote paint separately and early so the customer is not surprised after panels arrive primed.
- Wing stand note. Fitting the GT wing with the aluminium stand locks the trunk closed — confirm that trade-off with the owner before ordering.

USD pricing and trial orders
All catalog prices are in USD. Full kit: FRP $6,343 / Carbon $9,057. Shipping is quoted per order — typically sea freight for full kits and bulky sets, air freight or courier for smaller parts. Production and transit times are confirmed with the order.
Overseas dealers and tuning shops can request a trial order with USD dealer pricing:
- Open the GTD-style product page and decide full kit vs a defined parts package that respects the bundle rules.
- Choose FRP or carbon (or a mixed table where allowed).
- Message WhatsApp +86 17688404960 with shop name, country, S550 or S650 year, material preference and whether you need a shipping quote for sea or air.
- Or start on the wholesale & dealer program page.
Import logistics for first-time importers are covered in How to Import Car Body Kits from China.
